About Tanguy
de Toulgoët

Tanguy is a passionate advocate for natural beekeeping. With a background in agricultural science and sustainable gardening, he has championed the Warré hive for its minimal-intervention philosophy. His approach honours the wisdom of the bees, letting them build naturally, store their own honey, and thrive without chemical treatments.

Why the Warré Hive?

The Warré hive mimics the hollow of a tree, giving bees the freedom to build comb as they would in the wild. This design reduces human interference, supports colony health, and allows bees to live in balance with their environment. At Dunmore Country School, our hives house native Irish Black bees, celebrated for their resilience and contribution to biodiversity.
